The main goal of this couple was to make their NY pied-a-terre fun and splashy with color but paying homage to its original bones (wood beams, open face brick, wood burning fireplace). The open face brick was in its original red color but we softened it by adding a painted treatment to make the brick look patinated and older, while also keeping the space airy and bright. The splashes of color on the living room sofa are a reminder to not take life so seriously and to have fun with a space.
